I'm 26weeks and my midwife hasn't measured my bump yet does this happen later on or should she be measuring it already ? I saw her today and forgot to mention it

My first bump measurement meant was at 28 weeks but that was also my first face to face appointment because of Covid. I’m pretty sure in my first pregnancy the first measurement was at 25 weeks. Don’t worry too much, maybe just raise it next time :)

Oh I’ve just seen on the nhs antenatal appointment page that the first measurement should be at 25 weeks.

I've just had a 25w appointment and she didn't measure it. I'm assuming they will at the 28 week one.

My first bump was measured at 24 weeks . My second bump measured at 28 weeks .

my bump was first measured at 28 weeks too.

Should be from 25 weeks onwards if it's a first baby and 28 weeks for a subsequent pregnancy according to NICE Guidelines

From 28 weeks for me... which I think was also planned as the first face to face with community midwife (though I think in the end I had a f2f at 25 weeks too, but no bump measuring). At 34 weeks now, been measured twice so far.

I was measured for the first time at 28 weeks too Smile

@AlwaysBelieve19 In my area they now don’t measure your bump if you’re having growth scans 🙄

sarahc336 · 06/10/2020 07:07

In my area it's not until 28 weeks xx

sarahc336 · 06/10/2020 07:08

Sorry just seen others say if it's a second baby it's 28 weeks and mine is, yeah thinknits 25 weeks for a first, 28 for a second xx
