I'm on the lookout for some maternity loungewear for my hospital bag just so I have something to wear during the day if I need to stay in...has anyone seen any?

Boohoo and H&M have some comfortable maternity wear!

After DS1 was born we stayed on the postnatal ward for 3 long days... it was boiling hot (March but I think they keep it warm on the ward all year round). I just wore maternity leggings and nursing vests, day and night.

peachypetite · 04/10/2020 21:23

I also think it will be too hot! Leggings and a t shirt probably better.

Boohoo and asos!! I’m only 8 weeks but I’ve saved loads to my wish list...

I got some great thin maternity joggers from h&m, they did a top for them too. I went for a dusky pink colour but they also did grey. I wear them almost every evening and plan to take them to hospital with me too. Would really recommend.

I've got leggings from Love Leggings and a pair of joggers from George which are both great - the joggers especially are super soft and so comfy!

Disappointedkoala · 04/10/2020 22:26

I'd just go for PJ's or maternity leggings and vest as PP have suggested. I'd stick to darks though because of leakages (yours and baby's). Highly recommend having some lovely things to wear in the first few weeks back home though.

Boohoo is great cos everything is cheap, lightweight jersey material. Perfect comfort-wear

peachypetite · 04/10/2020 22:44

Please don’t buy from boohoo :(ethicalunicorn.com/2020/07/14/how-ethical-is-boohoo/

I'm due in November, will the wards still be hot?

OP posts:
MsSquiz · 05/10/2020 06:31

I had DD last December and the postnatal ward was hotter than the sun!
I just wore a pj best top and shorts, the long one bottoms only lasted an hour on before I got too hot. Even DH changes into shorts while with us on the ward and we were only in for a day and a half.
(Arrived on the ward at 6am and was there until the following afternoon)

Yes the heating will be on full blast!
peachypetite · 05/10/2020 07:48

Of course they will!

ChampooPapi · 05/10/2020 10:29

Remember because of covid they are opening windows a lot more, it was pretty chilly the last time I went in to hospital a week ago for monitoring. Schools are doing the same, opening windows wide for ventilation so I'd definitely put in one really warm cardi as well

ChampooPapi · 05/10/2020 10:29

Waves @peachypetite 👣

ChampooPapi · 05/10/2020 10:30

Agreed, boycott boohoo

ChlOeWh · 05/10/2020 10:34

I got a grey shorts loungewear from boohoo, has a white stripe down the sides of the shorts! They're so comfy and the material still keep me warm and cool so they're a winner!! 😂

peachypetite · 05/10/2020 10:40

@ChampooPapi hola! Makes me so sad to see people keep recommending boohoo :(
