Pregnancy anxiety!

Hey! does anybody else suffer with antenatal anxiety? I’m 18/19 weeks pregnant and on the waiting list to speak to the perinatal mental health team at my local hospital but I’m struggling a lot so far!

I feel so blessed and lucky that I got pregnant quickly, and I’m having a little boy after having a girl 2.5 years ago. but it all feels too good to be true and I’m waiting for it all to go horribly wrong ☹️

I’ve been paying for private reassurance scans. I had a scan at 18 weeks and the CRL was a few cm off what it should be. I asked the sonographer and she just told me it’s fine and not to worry but I’ve been so upset since. I’ve since read that the crown to rump measurement shouldn’t be used after 14 weeks, but I just can’t seem to get past the idea that something is wrong.

I feel that same: I’m 13 weeks and I keep thinking something is going to go wrong and I won’t get a baby. It’s really hard to stop worrying.

Hi OP, so sorry to hear you're going through this.
I'm not sure it this will be much help but I struggled with my mental health and have been diagnosed with severe anxiety. Covid and lockdown really triggered it again. I went to my GP and explained. They put me on sertraline and were fully aware I'd be TTC but said they will always look at all aspects and the risk is very low on it. They review it every two months as well throughout.
If you are really struggling, you could maybe also call your GP for help.
Sending hugs 💜 xx
