Heart Palpitations - 30 weeks

Feeling stupid for posting, but could do with knowing if I am experiencing something completely normal in pregnancy.

I've been feeling really intense heart palpitations the last few days.
I feel them intensely in my chest and also in the base of my neck and they last for about half an hour.

During these episodes, It feels like my heart is going to burst.

It comes on randomly- usually when I'm sat at my desk working.

I've just been ignoring it - thought it might be due to the extra blood my
Heart is pumping, but this evening it happened for a period of about 45 minutes and was so overwhelming I actually had to lie down and listen to some breathing exercises to stay calm.

Is this normal? My BP was measured last week and was very good.

Thanks in advance for any advice. Don't want to waste the midwifes time.

@MrsSmith2020

I had intense palpitations (only 14 weeks though)
And my midwife sent me for ecg the same afternoon even though she saw me the week before and all was well. According to her it can be hormones but they don't wanna take any chances and prefer to have the check done.
So i would just call your MW.
