26 Weeks - feels so far to go

Hi All,

Just looking for a bit of a space to moan & reassurance I'm not the only one.

I am 26 weeks today with my 2nd baby, I struggled with this stage last time as its when I feel properly pregnant with quite a big bump and aches and pains but know I am still so far away from the end!

I make mental markers of what I think reasonable time frames are in my head, but it's hard when I see another 3 months of SPD, heartburn and heaviness ahead.

Anyway, I do feel very grateful and excited, was just looking for nayone feeling similar!

I'm 24 weeks and I get this. I think I have the start of SPD Sad I'm so so tired and sore by the time I finish work. And still another 11 weeks of work left to go. I dont know how ill manage it

@always934 yes me too! I think it doesn't go that the first part is broken up by your 12 and 20 week scan and now it's just a long stretch of 20 weeks ahead and I haven't even seen a midwife since 8 weeks. We will get there... Eventually!

Yep, I'm 26 weeks too, SPD started at 18 weeks this time and it sucks! Counting down the final 8 weeks at work.

@Sanch1, about the same for me too. I think mentally when I hit 30 weeks, even though will bigger and I'm sure SPD will be worse, I can feel a bit brighter that I'm 3 quarters of the way through.

So relate to this. I’m now 32 weeks and quite miserable. I would book yourself a 4D scan for around 30 weeks for a wee boost. Then try and book in a couple of breaks from work in the remaining time to break up how long it seems. That’s helped me a bit in terms of breaking things into small chunks. Spd pain sucks so much but a great pregnancy pillow can make the world of difference. I got the big hug me this pregnancy (3rd) and it’s been a game changer to help get some rest. A good support belt too. And plenty of treats etc for yourself. It’s does feel such a long way off still but focusing on the shorter chunks of time really helps things go by a bit quicker.
