Discharge after sweep - funny colour

I had a sweep yesterday morning.

Didn't have any blood come out or discharge.
This morning I went to the loo and wiped and had brown discharge which I just assumed would have been old blood.
I've just gone to the toilet again and wiped and got about 1/4 of a teaspoon of yellowy-brown discharge.

I'm going to phone midwives now but just worrying about it

I've phoned the midwife, she said that it is normal for it to be those colours after a sweep.

Going to keep close watch on baby's movements and phone again later if I'm still worried I think

Could it be the mucus plug coming away?

How are you getting on @ScatterBrain912 ? You did the right thing by phoning - I always phone to double check everything!
How many weeks are you?
I’m due my first sweep on Sunday and was wondering what it would be like afterwards

@Laanie I think you're probably right. The brown colour didn't bother me as much because I thought it was just old blood. It was the yellowy-brown that put me off because I've heard of babies pooping in there and it causing problems.

@theresaplaceforus I'm all good after phoning and calming myself down. Baby's been moving absolutely fine and I've been having so much discharge out today which must be my plug, hoping things move along a bit soon! 🤞 I'm currently 40+6, 41 weeks tomorrow. How far are you?
Got my next sweep on Tuesday if nothing happens before then. It's not bad, I found it more uncomfortable than painful. And I haven't had much else happen, the midwife did say to me that this one probably wouldn't do anything for me. Hopefully yours will move things along for you! Definitely phone if you're worried about anything though, I'm here to chat too! 😊
