Just seeing if anyone is in the same bot as me! Went on mat leave last Friday and I'm just exhausted! I can't muster up the energy for anything and need a nap during the day!

I often hear of women having a burst of energy and nesting towards the end of the pregnancy but I literally just want to be lazy and not do anything!

Anyone else feel the same or is it just me being lazy? Grin

Hi @SassyPants87

37 weeks tomorrow and your post has made me feel so much better. I am still WFH but could definitely be doing more around the house by way of chores. I see loads of jobs that need doing (my cupboard under the stairs and in my one in the spare room are both in dire need of sorting) but just can't muster the motivation. 🙈

By the time I've spent the morning on my laptop and had lunch, I just need a nap. Currently sat watching "Mrs Doubtfire" on Disney+! 🤣 I've read so many posts where others are doing so much more and it makes me feel bad ...

I don't think we should feel too guilty though as we will never get this time again, if you are a FTM, like me?

This is the last time we will ever be truly alone, with just ourselves to think about. Well, that's my excuse at least and I am sticking to it. 🤣😋

Is this your first? If so enjoy this time op, put your feet up, eat nice meals, paint your nails, watch tv and thoroughly relax. If I could go back I would have definitely enjoyed my time more instead of wishing it away. 2 children later and it is a distant memory...Blush

I’m 37+5 and I feel exactly the same! I finished up for maternity leave at 36 weeks, spent the first two days doing the nesting thing, then all that went out the window Grin all I seem to do now is sit on the couch and watch TV or sit in my pregnancy pillow and watch TV. Just feel wiped all the time and I have crazy pains in my hips and legs a lot of the day too. I’m a FTM too so I’m trying to be good to myself now while I have the chance and DP is encouraging me to relax as much as possible too as he thinks it’ll make the birth part less stressful.

Hi @StephyRose, good to see your user name come up, and so happy your at 37 weeks. I'm at nearly 33 weeks myself, with twins. We were on a conception thread after miscarriage way back when, can't remember which one, probably January by your gestation. Congratulations again, nearly there now, and yes, I'm absolutely cream crackered too!
