I’m due at the beginning of March(I know I got a while yet😂). I wanted to know how giving birth is during this time?

I had a ELCS three weeks ago.... husband came in with me and for some time post section - section was at 3pm and he left at 6.20pm .... he had to book an hour slot for the following day....he came at midday and stayed for just over an hour....the next day he didn't come for his hour as I was discharged at midday so he just came to pick me up!

Didn't have to wear my mask in my cubicle....but I did to go to the toilet etc.

Hospital rules vary massively. I would follow yours on social media if the maternity has its own pages, for me this has been the easiest way to keep up to date lately.

@peachypetite Thank you! I didn’t think of that, I’ll have a look now.

As I get further along I’m getting more and more anxious.

Honestly I’d try not to get obsessed since you have five months left to go. A lot can change in that time.

It's so varied. I gave birth 7 weeks ago just after my area went back into lockdown.
I had to attended triage on my own. If I was to give birth on the Dr led unit my partner could only come in if I was 4cm+ but on the midwife led unit he was allowed when I went in. In terms of visitors only my birth partner was allowed and between 8 and 8.

A friend gave birth a week earlier in a different city not under lockdown and her OH was restricted to 2h visitation a day.

In my area the community midwife and health visitors are still making house calls but I don't think the weighing clinics are running.

I did in the middle of lockdown. I had a himebirth (planned) but did go to hospital afterwards

Due a section in two weeks and remember very early on, at my 12 week scan worrying too. I thought it would all be a distant memory by now 😔 my hospital aren't allowing any postnatal visiting so hoping for a very rapid discharge
