Faint positive?

Hi there , I’ve took a Sainsburys Test yesterday (3 hour hold) and seen a really faint line appear in about 5 mins but then got darker and darker as time went on.
Did another test this afternoon (same brand)
3 hour hold, the line came up within 3 mins and again got darker after 5 -10 mins. The line is definitely blue and the same thickness. What do you think ?
The 2 Test picture are out of the casing as was so much clearer to see. Top one yesterday and bottom is today.

I'd say BFP! Congratulations x

Oneandabean · 30/09/2020 18:05

Sainsbury’s are notorious for showing a faint line when it isn’t positive. I’d get a frer and check again with first morning urine

Jen8888 · 30/09/2020 18:08

Looks positive to me! Xx

ttckelly · 30/09/2020 18:15

I thought maybe a Evap but all tests have come up the same faint line and the most recent being the darkest. Also I’ve seen Evans are quite thin lines and mine look same thickness as control line.
I am going to do another test tomorrow, I’ve ordered a answer test from amazon , heard they are like Frer.

I'd say bfp as evap lines don't tend to have colour. Even though its faint, that line is blue!

ttckelly · 30/09/2020 18:33

It’s really difficult when to test as I’ve been on the pill and my last period was 11 weeks
Ago! If I am pregnant I’d say I am about 4 weeks as it’s showing quite a faint line. I’m going to do a few hour hold and do a answer brand and see what that says .

I posted on a similar thread but I had a bfp on a 20miu IC before I had anything on a FRER. Just my experience but like someone else has said, evaps don't tend to have any colour.

I've joined the team of questions, wonder and madness. I took an early pregnancy test and it looks like this. I then made a clearblue digital one and it came out negative... I am getting nuts. What do you experienced moms think of this result?

Faint positive?
LavenderHoneybee · 30/09/2020 21:04

I can see a line on that clear blue!! Just to encourage you, it took me ages to get a positive digital test.

ttckelly · 30/09/2020 21:31

Top test is yesterday’s and bottom
Is today’s . I don’t really trust these as Ive heard they can give out false positives 🤔 but line is same thickness and blue.

Took the pink dye last week and showed a very very faint line. Does this look ok for 6 days difference if it is positive ??

I can definitely see a cross on the blue one. Tentative congratulations x

ttckelly · 01/10/2020 16:16

Did a answer brand earlier and I thought I could see a very faint line. Could see it on certain angle and when tilted. I did a photo effect on- turned the saturation up and can definitely see a line and very pink! Does anyone know the sensitivity of these tests ?
Answer one step pregnancy test
And Sainsburys ones.
Was thinking maybe Sainsbury’s are more sensitive . I don’t know what to think now at all 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't want to get your hopes up but this happened to me with this pregnancy. I had nothing on FRERs at all, was so discouraged, and then one day, I had a greyish line on the FRER which I thought was an evap which disappeared. Next day I had a faint pink bfp.
Had Bfps on one step, and a brand off Amazon I can't remember the name of but they were pink and were 20miu and also had positive ovulation tests. Don't lose heart Flowers

ttckelly · 01/10/2020 19:11

I heard the answer brand is 25miu and I think Sainsbury’s are 15miu . Everyone I have shown the blue dye test to says it’s definitely positive ! I’ve had evaps before but they have been thin . I’m going to get some more Sainsburys tests in tomorrow and see if they show up quicker and darker then I should
Know .

How can this be not a positive ? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I would say deffo a bfp
ttckelly · 01/10/2020 20:41

Well did another test tonight (5 hour hold) and had a barely there line that got darker after 10 mins so guess I’m not pregnant then 😢 I have no words . Just so shocked as everyone says that looks like a bfp!

OP posts:
ttckelly · 01/10/2020 20:42

Most probably a chemical 😭

The hcg only increases every 48 hours, as hard as it is I’d hold off for another day or 2 and do another test with the first morning urine and use something better than the Sainsbury’s ones as they’re really bad for false positives. If you give it another day or two the levels should definitely be high enough to be sure

Bl0ndi3 · 01/10/2020 21:03

These Sainsbury's test are shocking for giving evap and shadow lines I've had it myself and there's so many threads about them so I don't think it's a chemical

ttckelly · 01/10/2020 21:08

Yeah it just does not look like a Evap at all ! I’ll do another in morning with FMU but looks like I’m not . I’m really really upset right now even know I wasn’t trying it still hurts you 😢

ttckelly · 01/10/2020 21:12

I did drink a quite a lot i the time before
I did the test 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t know .

Bl0ndi3 · 01/10/2020 21:14

Please don't use another Sainsbury's test if you want a definitive answer get a FRER even the one step cheapies I got BFP on one at 9dpo they're more reliable sometimes just not as sensitive. Those Sainsbury's ones are awful for the false positives I have never seen a thread about these tests where they aren't false positives.
