High Hcg levels at 12 week scan

Hi, Just wondering if anyone has had similar. Just had my 12 week scan results and I have 4.16MoM HCG levels. I have tried speaking to my midwife but they weren't interested despite my levels being 4 x higher. My other results were normal.

Has anyone else had this before? Looking on google high HCG can indicate problems and a need for further scans but they aren't prepared to even talk to me about it.

Thanks xx

Is there any reason they took HCG levels at your scan? I've not had that with any pregnancy...

They normally only look at hcg levels in conjunction with the nuchal scan at the 12 week scan? Did they say whether there looked like an issue on the scan?

Hi, it was the combined screening test that they offer at the 12 week scan (so scan and bloods). All was ok on the scan and NT measurement, just this HCG that is really high thats worrying me

I received my HCG levels with my 12 week scan. Like the OP said , they came with my blood work results .

I can’t remember what mine were but they were also high . My midwife wasn’t worried though and I went on to have a normal pregnancy and a perfectly healthy baby boy .

That is great to hear! It is just such a worry when you receive an abnormal result but they say it is ok. Fingers crossed I will go onto have a healthy little one. :)
