Weight gain at 32 weeks?

What was your gain around this point? I'm up 24 pounds. I have really tried to eat healthily and not go over 2000 cals but still feel this is a lot to gain. Bmi was 25.8 to begin with so just into slightly over weight. I don't have a massive bump either. My thighs and arms just seem to have got huge.

I've put on 2 stone by 33 weeks, my bmi was on the lower end so though. I also put pretty much the same amount on in my first pregnancy, I think your body does what it wants to weight wise, I think your weight gain will be higher than some but I also think your still in the normal range xx

@sarahc336 the only thing I'm
Clinging onto is that last time i was pregnant I only gained 2 pounds after this point, it's just scary watching the scales go up and not being able to do much about it.

I'm about the same as you, 35 weeks now and have gained nearly 2 stone. Just trying to make sure I get plenty of fruit and veg to balance out the chocolate! Plenty of time to get it off after the birth.

I look back at the photos of my 26 week belly when I thought I was massive and laugh!

@Sairafina the thing that worries me about getting it off is my first was a shocking sleeper and it took
Me ages to get rid of the weight because I was always snacking to try to stay awake. Plus being due just before Christmas won't help with all the indulgent food

This will be my first time so perhaps I'm overly confident about losing it afterwards?! I'm lucky in that my body responds well to diets so if I can keep to 2000cals and have joy in breastfeeding that should help.

Poor sleep really is the enemy when it comes to losing weight, I read recently that following a bad night, people on average will overeat by 400-500cals the next day to compensate 🤯

Hahah at least you can indulge when you are pregnant and worry about losing the baby weight afterwards when everyone else is also losing Xmas weight! At least you'll have a good excuse 😉

Got the scales out and really shouldn't have! 32 weeks and 10kg up from starting weight and now the heaviest I've ever been. I only put on 9kg in total in my first pregnancy. I feel absolutely massive at the moment too.

@Disappointedkoala I'm 2lb heavier now than I was when I delivered dd. I think being less active with lockdown hasn't helped. Feel a bit out of control of the whole situation tbh. I know it's only for another few weeks but I just don't even recognise myself somedays
