Water Births

Has anyone had a water birth following previous labours/births that had complications?

Has anyone had a water birth and bled afterwards that needed intervention? What happens in this instance?

Considering my options!

I had an EMCS and my second Labour was high risk so I was only allowed to labour in the pool and not deliver in it

Hi, my first birth was in the water, I loved it. Had retained placenta and PPH afterwards, so had to go to theatre for removal.

But I loved labouring and giving birth in the pool, and have been told there’s no reason I can’t do it again. They will just be more prepped in case there are signs of haemorrhage next time.

Thanks, @gerdtickler. I had what they classed as a mild pph with my first so hoping I can have the water birth option this time around with careful monitoring
