Is this blood, urine or discharge?

Hi all! I'm currently 20+1 weeks pregnant and had some strange patches in my underwear today.

It smells like urine but it's sort of a brownish colour so I wasn't sure if it's old blood.

Has anybody else had something similar?

I'd go with discharge but keep an eye out to be certain.

It's vaginal discharge. It's a yellowish colour when wet and dries darker. The vagina secretes a mucus like discharge during pregnancy, much in the same way the nasal passages do, to trap bacteria and protect you from infection. It's a bit gross but normal unless it becomes foul smelling, dramatically increases or you are itchy.

@calimommy I hope it is just discharge! I did have an internal exam on Sunday so I wasn't sure if it was a little but of old blood but it looks to be such a miniscule amount to be blood? hoping for the best and that I have no more problems!

Even if it was blood, it's such a tiny amount that it wouldn't be of concern. Bleeding is only a concern if it's fresh, a large amount and accompanied by cramping and back pain. But that is definitely discharge. I'm surprised you haven't had more before now. You will probably get more as you go along.
