Hi

Can anyone please recommend any good online antenatal classes (preferably free)? With the whole covid situation there aren't any face to face classes in my area.

Thanks

Have you asked your midwife? My hospital is running them.

@peachypetite i have only seen my midwife once so will ask her this week.

I did a good free one with my baby academy last week :) was just a 2 hour baby care module but really helpful (for a first time novice like me anyway!)

@bluebellll A second vote here for The Baby Academy 😊 their first 2 hour baby care class is free and we enjoyed it so much we went on and bought the full day course which I would also highly recommend 😊

Another vote for the Baby Academy course. We did the full day after learning so much from the free workshop.

I also did the two hour class and really found it useful. The cost of the full day class is putting me off. Is it worth the money?

@bluebellll definitely 😊 I’ll send you a wee message with the details

I would speak to midwife. Ours have taken bit of time to adjust but last time I was in they gave me link to in our place parenting course which Cumbria can access for free and also www.dorsethealthcare.nhs.uk/breastfeedingcourse . Don't know if it's any good as exploring this weekend.

There should be some local ones to you although they are often limited in numbers, I don’t qualify as I’m a 2nd time mum. The first one I went on was rubbish though.
I’m looking at doing the bump to baby chapter this time. An online hypnobirthing course, it’s not free but I follow them on social media and even just doing that has been so helpful

@RWK29 thank you

Couldn't recommend www.letstalkbirthandbaby.co.uk/online-antenatal-classes/ highly enough!
Louise was absolutely fantastic and really made me feel prepared, first session is free (normal labour and bits) and then each session is £10 after that and they're broken down so you can decide which you do or don't want to cover, for example we had also done the 2hr session with Baby Academy so didn't repeat the similar session with Louise (also known as the honest midwife)
Great laugh but super informative but not to the point of being overwhelming!
Best of luck xx
