34 weeks low lying placenta

I'm after any advice really as I'm feeling a bit worried. I'm 34 weeks pregnant and have been for a scan today (as 20 weeks scan showed my placenta was anterior and low). The lady scanning me today said it was hard to tell how much the placenta was covering my cervix as the baby's head was very low. She measured the growth of the baby and the baby has also dropped from the 97th percentile to the 50th percentile. So she said I would have another appointment at 36 weeks (internally) as they will check the placenta and the growth of the baby. Then I would meet with the consultant. This will be on my own as my husband can't be there (due to restrictions). Has anyone else been through this? I haven't had any bleeding at all. Will my placenta move? Or is it too late? Are the growth scans accurate? I would appreciate any advice xxx

Hi there,

Currently pregnant with DC3 and am 36 weeks. I've been having regular growth scans throughout 3rd trimester. This Thursday after my scan they will decide if baby needs to come early or whether my planned c section will go ahead at 39 weeks. My baby is hovering around the 10th centile and am on insulin for gestational diabetes.

I had a low lying placenta on my last pregnancy but it had moved by the time I was 36 weeks. I didn't get any bleeding either. Try not to worry Flowers

@LavenderHoneybee thank you for your reply. I will try and not panic, but it is hard not to have a little wobble especially when reading lots of things on the Internet. I hope your scan goes well on Thursday and your little one is OK x
