Movements 19 weeks advice needed

Hello

Im 19 wks 2 days and although i got told at 16 wks i have anterior placenta, I have been feeling little jabs and kicks can feel it when i put my hand in certain places to, however now feelings have changed, I am now getting a fluttering sensation but feels deeper inside me if that makes sense?! And more near groin but alongside that also had a few stabbing pains in groin nothing to sharp or to make me keel over in pain it comes and goes v quick anyone had this? No other cramps just ligament pain if i move to quick sometimes

It will really depend on which way round baby is lying. At 19 weeks you could quite easily feel movements for a while and then nothing for ages, if baby moves to face the other way then it might not be as detectable. That's why they don't recommend to start to 'count the kicks' until a bit later on, usually from 24 weeks, because before then baby's movements are hard to pick up often anyway.

When I was pregnant with my first I could feel quite a lot of movement early on and then around 23 weeks I started to feel her much less, I panicked and was seen by the midwifes and although they listened into the heartbeat and put my mind at rest, they can't put you on a trace until at least 24 weeks as it's unreliable. So i'd say as long as you are sometimes feeling baby move then try not to worry too much at this stage.

PS. groin pain could be ligaments stretching and just everything getting bigger, very normal. If it's really painful then maybe contact your midwife x
