Reduced movements

I am really terrified - I'm 28+5 and for the last 3 days, baby has been moving a little less than usual. On Friday he/she was really active (unusually so) but since then, I would say it has been moving about half as much as usual and the movements aren't as strong. I called the maternity Assessment centre today and they've told me to go straight in. Obviously I'll be on my own but I'm so scared about what they're going to say and what will happen

Hand holding!
I went in at 22 weeks and they used a doppler and found a nice heartbeat. You're further on than I was so they might put you on a trace for a while.
Good luck. It's rubbish having to be on your own. X

I’m sure everything will be fine and you are doing the right thing by going in. They will strap you to a ctg monitor to listen to the heartbeat. I went in for the same thing at 27 weeks and was hooked up for about 15 minutes.
In my case I think the baby had moved to transverse right behind my placenta so movements were very faint.
Please update us after?

Fingers crossed. I went in at 29 weeks for reduced movement and it was fine. Heard heartbeat straight away and within 15 minutes I was back to being kicked left, right and centre.

Thank you all - everything was absolutely fine. I'm glad I went in for the reassurance though!
