Baby boy name

We found out that we are expecting a boy, but can't agree on baby names. There is not a single name we both love. Our ideas so far:
Theo (my favourite, but DH son from previous relationship is Leo and it sounds very similar...)
Jax (DH favourite)
Mika
Max
Oscar

What do you think? Maybe you have other suggestion with the similar vibe?

I'd say if neither of you both love one of them then don't try to force yourself to by asking for popular opinion. My husband and I were torn between a few names up to 4 weeks before birth, then a name popped into his head and we both loved it instantly. Give yourself time, there's plenty of time to find a name you both love.

My 1st born didnt have a name until she was 4 weeks old because we couldn't agree on one haha..
My partners nephew is called Theo and I really wanted to call our son Leo but decided not too because it was too similar how funny..

I like Jax I dont no anyone with that name x

Theo and Leo really are too similar imo 😬 How about Theodore with Teddy/Ted as a nn? Prefer Micah to Mika.

How about Niko, Otis, Oslo, Jackson, Jensen...

DragonPie · 28/09/2020 12:59

Love Theo. Oscar is so popular I know several.

Arlo?
Milo?

BellaVida · 28/09/2020 13:16

Love Theo but it is v similar sounding, I agree Theodore would work with a different nickname. Only other one I like on the list is Max. Jax is not my cup of tea either, but what about Jack, Jake, Jacob or Jasper?

Other suggestions:
Felix
Jude
Finn
Miles
Eli
Luca(s)
Louis
Elliot
Hugo
Otis

Giganticshark · 28/09/2020 14:08

We loved Jasper, is cool af.
Tristan, Patrick, Elliott, finlay, Andrew

As others have said keep coming up with names until you both agree on them otherwise one of you is going to get annoyed or feel like you got stuck with it.

I will say if popularity bugs you I know 3 people who have recently called their sons Theo.

We are having the same issue. This is the current boys list. Adyn is the front runner or maybe Xander. I love Harrison but it has been vetoed!

Adyn
Chester
Riley/Ryleigh
Oliver
Oren
Oscar
Harrison
Marshall
Orin
Xander
Eomer
Rohan
Albie
Parker
Kennedy
Logan
Alexander
Zachary

I think Theo and Leo are too similar unfortunately. Theo is a nice name though. Leo and Max sound really nice together. Oscar is nice too. Could you maybe use Theo as a middle name since you love it so much? Oscar Theo is nice, so is Max Theo.

CoffeeandKitKat · 28/09/2020 14:27

I like Max best out of your list.

Other ideas?
Evan
Owen
Felix
Dylan
Rory
Ivan
Ivo
Rex
Harrison
Caleb
Flynn

Not to sure on Jax. How about

Raiden
Baraka
Sub Zero
Reptile

Ned2021 · 28/09/2020 15:55

Me and OH have very different styles of names.
I dont know the sex yet but i know it will be a boy purely because we are butting heads on names...

I love Seth... like love it. But OH doesnt.
He likes names like Jack, Harry, William... i really dont.
So, so far we have Jax and Arlo on our list and although i really like them... i dont love them like i love Seth. But OH wont budge.
