Missed period but negative test

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has been through a similar thing. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 2 years and finally fell pregnant, only to have a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks in June. I was devastated but we started to try again in July As my AF went back to normal. Only now I am 5 days late for AF but keep getting BFN. every test! I’ve been super emotional, moody, off food and some smells are making me nauseous. I’ve tried early pregnancy tests, the clear blue digital ones and ordinary ones and they all say negative. I’m so frustrated and upset, I just don’t know where my period is! I just feel like it’s another cruel blow and I don’t feel like I can talk to anyone about it. Has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions on what could be going on?

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage.

You simply ovulated late than you normally do in your cycle (or simply didn't ovulate). This will delay your period by the same number of days you ovulated late.

Late ovulation, though frustrating, is very very normal every once in awhile, even with a regular cycle.

As you've been ttc for two years, have you been to the gp for any testing?

@Waitingforarainbow87 so sorry to hear about the miscarriage, fingers crossed you'll be luckier this month. I had a similar situation in my last cycle- 3 weeks late but multiple negative tests. Spoke with 2 doctors and they suggested that it could just be too early to tell or my pregnancy hormone was just naturally lower than the test criteria. I eventually got a blood test which confirmed I wasnt pregnant and my period arrived 2 days later (typical!!!). It was heartbreaking but at least I knew and wasnt driving myself crazy or spending a fortune on more at home tests. Best of luck xx
