Would it be too early to buy pram?

I’m 13+4 with DC3. DC2 is 11 months old so I will be using a double pram once the new baby is here. After much consideration early on in the pregnancy I knew I’d be opting for the bugaboo donkey. DS is currently in a stroller as his original pram has broken during our house move, it was a cheap travel system so it breaking did not come as a surprise.
As winter sets in I’d like him to be in a pram rather than his current stroller which is one of those light weight ones that are tiny. I’m considering purchasing the bugaboo donkey soon and using it in single mode until the new baby is here, plus because of the price of it I’d like to get my moneys worth!
As I’m only 13 weeks I feel like it’s too soon, but its not just a pram for the new baby so I’m thinking that justifies buying it early on.
I don’t know whether to wait until the 20 week scan and then get it.

I’m incapable of making any sort of decision on my own so as always I’m turning to Mumsnet!

Get the pram you want for your babies. The single use will be brilliant and I'm sure you'll have every reason to use the second part in 6 months time x

We got our dream buggy in a sale with a huge amount off at 7 weeks. I did have a miscarriage but we packed the unopened box away and saved it until I became pregnant again and had ds. For me it worked and I was happy to store but I know others wouldn't be.

In your shoes as you would be using it in single mode I would buy it to get the use out of it.

We've done exactly this ds 19m I'm 24 week pregnant. We've bought a cosatto wow xl which is single use/buggy board too so will be using it before baby arrives.

@coffeeandjuice @mumsofboys @LunaLoveFood thank you! This was the little push I needed to just go and buy it. I have a scan next week to find out the sex, which won’t make a difference to the pram but I’ll feel a little better about getting it after seeing the baby again.
I’ll definitely get my moneys worth!

If there's a good reason (you have one!) then I don't see the issue. We weren't going to buy anything til the 20 week scan. Went 'window shopping' in JL at 18 weeks and managed to get an ex-display bugaboo donkey 2 for our twins for only £500. Too good a bargain to miss.

You're past the 12 week point now so I wouldn't worry and get it now if you'd like.

My mum bought ours very early as it had a 17 week delivery delay on it, we’ve just kept it under the stairs but if you are going to get use as a single for now I would say go for it!
