Faint positive?

Hello,
I'm TTC #1 and I'm 14dpo. This morning I took a test and it came back a really faint positive.
Is it normal for it to be this faint at 14dpo. I thought it would be much darker by now.
I've attached pictures!
Thank you in advance 🥰

I can definitely see a line on the blue dye but it could be evap. Can't see on pink dye but there's a shadow in just the wrong place. Not sure how dark it should be, I would have expected darker but it could be that your wee is a bit diluted rather than anything else. I'd test again tomorrow. Fingers crossed for you OP.

How long is your cycle? I.e. when is your period due? If today then yes possibly the line is quite faint. I got something similar 11dpo for a positive pregnancy but my cycles are short.

Thanks for replying..
I don't think it's an evap line because I took the picture straight away!
Same with the pink dye.
I was due yesterday/today. My cycles are 30 days

It should be much darker if you were due yesterday/today.. just wait a day or so and test again x

I see something faint on blue dye but those are awful for evaps. I’d say test again tomorrow.
This was my test, period was 1 day late. So it can still be very faint lines.

I wouldn’t be an evap line if I took the picture straight after though would it? I’m trying not to stress out.
I thought evap lines were only if you left it too long?

Is the blue one supposed to have a + on it, if so I can’t see a line on any. Could be that you ovulated later though, give it 48 hours and do another you’ll know for definite then. I did a test the day I was due and it was immediate and very dark

Is it a Sainsbury's test?

badams1994 · 27/09/2020 09:32

@Bl0ndi3

Is it a Sainsbury's test?
Yes it is, but I’ve had two come up within the time frame of 2 minutes

Sainsbury's tests are notorious for those lines you cannot trust it I'm afraid. Not to say it isn't a positive but you just can't trust it. I've had the same happen, both tests showing a faint line within the time limit but I was not pregnant. I'm not the only one, there's lots of threads about them. I'd say BFN until you get a line on a more reliable test.

Take a FRER test they're reliable and you'll get a very clear line if you're 14dpo.

How can supermarkets sell these tests if they’re not reliable? I thought you couldn’t get false positives and that they’re extremely rare?
I’ll try another test anyway

I don't know but I'm telling you from my experience that the Sainsbury's ones can't be trusted as they've given me faint lines when I wasn't pregnant. I think they're shadows or something as opposed to false positives. Why they still sell them is beyond me 🤷🏼‍♀️ however I've had friends get their BFP on them but a BFP on those tests looks very different to your line and the lines I have had on them too.

Hopefully it's not BFN for you but you'll only know by taking a better test
