Tips for car travel in third trimester

I'm currently 29 weeks and will be going away next weekend to Cornwall. It's a 3 hour journey and we will factor a stop every hour.

I live fairly rurally and the roads are so bumpy. I'm dreading the journey.

It felt like my insides were going to fall out over every bump today. We only went to B&Q 🤦🏻‍♀️ It makes needing the loo worse. I just want to stay inside at home now and hate leaving the house for any amount of time.

Any tips?

I thought maybe some cushions... 🤣

Hi comfort wise not much help. I am 32 weeks and had a longish trip recently and was very paranoid about the belt and where it sat on my bump. Found it hard to get it to stay under.
I think you get things online on amazon that keep it pulled down under?

Besafe make a pregnancy belt guard which pulls it down if that is an issue.

You can't really sit on cushions in the car, it increases your risk of sliding under the seatbelt if you crashed which would be really dangerous both for you and bump.

I think it's just a case of grin and bear it... we did a hellish drive when I was 6 months pregnant out of necessity, couldn't even stop for a wee for hours, I thought I would wet myself! I did not :o You will be OK and if the drive is worth it, just think about that :)
