Bleeding in early pregnancy

I am 5 weeks 3 days pregnant. Last night (after some food that didn't seem to agree with me) I woke up with the worst pain ever. I think (and hope) it was bowel pain (sorry TMI).

TMI continued...

I went to the toilet and the pain continued, I was constipated at first and then ended up having the runs (sorry again). I also started bleeding a bit. The blood was light pink and there was a small amount in the toilet and when I wiped.

I haven't had any blood today but have had on and off cramping and back ache.

Because of past early miscarriages (I am luckily past the point that I lost those) I am allowed to call and get an early scan next week.

Does my situation sound like a miscarriage or a dodgy stomach and bleeding caused by straining? (Sorry TMI). Has similar ever happened to anybody else? Xxx

I had pink blood at 5 weeks and horrific cramp and back pain - was so bad that I'd have to pace the room. I'm not saying you shouldn't be concerned, but for me/my body it was fine/normal so hope that helps you to be a little relaxed x
