Baby measuring small at 32 weeks

DD1 was born at 6lb 1oz via elective section; she was an IVF baby meaning there was always a chance she would be small, however she is now a very bouncy 17 month old.

I'm 32+6 with DD2 (completely natural pregnancy!) but due to DD1 being small I was given growth scans and my first was this morning. Baby is measuring small (3lb 1oz) and is under the centile for my gestation. I've been sent back round to ultrasound for another scan to check fluid in cord and around baby (this was checked on my scan this morning and they said it was looking normal) but the nurse said this scan will also check for anaemia in babies head or something... should I be worried? ☹️ I've been on google which I shouldn't have done and now I'm just panicking

Can you speak to anyone for clarification? It seems a very odd thing to say. Was it a Doppler scan they did too for the cord/ blood flow?
I'm in a similar situation to you, 2nd child, last baby was 2 weeks early and only 5lb 11oz. I had my first growth scan a few days ago, I'm almost 32 weeks and baby was just under the 10th centile at 3lb 4 so I've got another growth scan week after next.
I know it's hard but try to stop googling, I'm my own worst enemy with it.
When's your next scan? If the blood flow looks ok then common sense suggests it's all fine but I know it's never that simple if you're worrying.

Hi @Alwaystired99 thanks for your reply. It was an ultrasound they did for blood flow, I'm back this Friday for the Doppler and another ultrasound, then a week Friday for another growth scan, then 2 weeks Friday I'm seeing my consultant cause I'm an elective section. The midwife said if baby doesn't grow they'll book me in early for my section, it's just all very confusing. She also said it could just be that I carry small babies
