Baby no2 due April 2021 - anyone else?!

I’m currently 11 weeks (ish!) with baby no2 😊 it’s been a long, tiresome road (we struggled to conceive DS1 also) but, here we are!
Looking for some buddies also due in April next year? Think we could use all the support we can get in these strange, pandemic times!
❤️

Hi @Mumofboys17👋 I’m 11 weeks today and have a DS too! Currently a wilful 2yrs 9month 😅 my scan is in two weeks, fingers crossed all is fine xx

Mumofboys17 · 24/09/2020 21:52

@pandapower Ahh amazing!! My DS will be 3 in November! Initially didn't want that big of an age gap but took ages to get pregnant again, and I'm actually kind of pleased about it now 😅
My first scan is next Wednesday 😊
How have you found this pregnancy in comparison to your first? I reckon I'm definitely bigger already and craving lots of sweet stuff, it was all savoury with DS 😂 xx

Hi, I'm 10 weeks tomorrow with a 22 month old. She will be 2.5 when this one arrives ( all being well) .
I'm a bit nervous as I have had 3 miscarriages this year but I've had several early scans and all looks good so far 🤞

I have been far more sick than with my daughter and so tired all the time but I don't know if that's because I'm having to chase a toddler around on my days off work where as last time I could just put my feet up 😁 x

Mumofboys17 · 25/09/2020 20:00

Hi @Quail15 !
Sorry to hear about your losses ❤️ hopefully this is a nice sticky bean for you x

I've felt a lot more sicky this time too (I don't tend to actually vomit with morning sickness so really lucky, but I feel really crappy), and definitely more tired too. I thought the same chasing around after a little one doesn't give you much time to rest 😂 they're not sympathetic at all are they! 😂 hoping after I reach the 12 week mark I'll get a little bit of energy back 😫😴

I'm 10 weeks and I'm absolutely exhausted .no energy and when I do get energy it only lasts for a short time . Anyone else feel like this

pandapower · 26/09/2020 18:46

@Mumofboys17 Ah me too! I’m actually glad there’s a bigger age gap ☺️ Ooo so excited for your scan on Wednesday. Mine’s the following Wednesday, I can’t wait and really hope everything’s ok 🤞
Feeling way less nauseous this time round. I was constantly nauseous last time and wanted to eat everything and anything. This time I’ve got some serious food aversions. The worst one being anything smoked and the smell of anything liquid smoked! 🤢 the idea of it turns my stomach ahhh!! It’s more of a struggle to think of something I’d be happy to eat at the moment.
Plus SOOO tired. I just want to be asleep the whole time 😴😴😴🥱 definitely a combo of having an energetic toddler and pregnancy!

pandapower · 26/09/2020 18:50

@Teejayxx1991 here! I want to be in bed asleep the whole time 💤

pandapower · 26/09/2020 18:54

@Quail15 sorry to hear of your losses but so reassuring and promising to hear your early scans have all been great ❤️ I keep thinking back to my first pregnancy when I used to take a nap in the day for a few hours! Haha if only.

LouJ85 · 27/09/2020 09:37

Hello OP!
I'm 11 weeks tomorrow with baby number 2. I've struggled badly with sickness and exhaustion up to about 3 days ago when my symptoms seemed to just disappear! Now I'm worried but already had scan at 6 weeks due to previous mmc and saw little bean's heartbeat so I'm sure all is well. Maybe this is just the relief from sickness I've been praying for! Grin

LouJ85 · 27/09/2020 09:39

Just to add my DD is 14 so quite the age gap! However I'm seeing it as a bonus at this point as she's mostly self sufficient. I imagine running around after a little one is hard work feeling so crappy. However I am dealing with the teen dramas which can feel just as draining I guess... ConfusedSmile

Mumofboys17 · 28/09/2020 12:38

@Teejayxx1991 yep think it's totally normal at this point unfortunately!! I can barely keep my eyes open by the end of most days 😴 really hoping it'll ease a bit in the second trimester!

@pandapower same!! Ohhhh we didn't know how easy we had it then! 😫😂😂

@LouJ85 I had the odd day a little earlier on where I felt my symptoms disappear, made me panic too! I think that can happen but if you've already had a scan I'd imagine all is well 🤞🏻❤️ wow 14 years! I know a few people with a big age gap and in my head I always thought that would be worse, but actually I think it can be so much better in a lot more ways, especially if the older sibling is willing to help out and babysit later on 😉😂😂

Also due April 2021 with baby 2 (fingers crossed). Have a 15month old ds. Scan next week so hoping all is well as I had a MMC in May. I was feeling so sick until about a week ago but that has mostly disappeared now. Just get a wave now and again.
Excited for next year, but also pretty terrified about having 2 under 2!

Mumofboys17 · 28/09/2020 14:28

Hi @HelloRose, sorry to hear about your loss, but welcome and congrats on your pregnancy! 🥰 my sickness has eased massively now too thank goodness, those little waves like to catch you out! I've got heartburn too which I swear I didn't get until later with DS.. must be having a massive baby 🙃😂
Bless you, it'll be hard work but I bet your babies will grow up close for having a smaller age gap though 😊 there's 23 months between me and my sister and we're inseparable now (not so much in the teen years but swings and roundabouts!) 😂

First scan today 🥰 measuring 11 weeks 6 days, due date is now 15.4.21 😊 feels a lot more real and reassuring now!
Has anyone else got a scan coming up? X

@Mumofboys17 - Yes my 12 week scan is on Wednesday next week! But we have a private one booked as well on Monday so DH can come too. So excited!

Mumofboys17 · 30/09/2020 18:33

@LouJ85 ahh lovely! Our local hospital is allowing partners for scans at the moment. I realise we're VERY lucky on that front right now, otherwise we deffo would have gone private too x

OP posts:
LouJ85 · 30/09/2020 18:35

@Mumofboys17 Definitely lucky! Although I'm seeing it as a bonus as it means I get to see / hear baby twice in one week. Grin

Mumofboys17 · 30/09/2020 18:42

@LouJ85 oh yeah definitely a nice bonus!! I had to go in twice today as my bladder wasn't full enough at first 🙈 but both times the lady spent ages looking and going through it all, so we felt really spoilt with it 😂
