Hey, I'm currently in hospital being induced. Have history of genital herpes which very rarely flares up (only had one outbreak at start of pregnancy). Basically I feel another flare up coming on and I'm worried as hadn't taken the suppression therapy from 36 weeks due to not having frequent outbreaks (gum clinic said there was no need). I'm not entirely sure if the tenderness I'm experiencing down below is an actual flare up or reaction to the pessary. MW is going to check shortly, but I don't know if i should request c section. Guidelines state the risk of transmission is 3% but to me that's a fairly high risk. If anyone who has been in the same situation could advise I'd be so grateful

I was told that if I had visible sores they'd do a c section, but also that I knew myself if I felt something wasn't right and to voice it. Thankfully I didn't have a flare up, but push for it if you're not happy
