6 weeks & sickness

I'm 6 weeks pregnant. My sickness is starting to kick in, and I know it's going to get worse before it gets better. I have all day queasiness and I'm so hungry but nothing I fancy to eat. I just want to cry!

Any advice?

Hello ladies,

It’s my second month off the contraception Pill and we have been trying to conceive. I am 2 weeks late on my period. However I did a test last week and it was negative. Today I’ve had bad cramps so decided to do another test with no sign of AF! Here is the picture. I don’t want to get too excited but does this look positive to you ?

Thank you xx

@IToldYouThisBefore
You poor thing! My sickness started week 6 and finished week 17, which is unusual as most ladies have said passing week 12 helps.
I honestly hit rock bottom and thought I would never get through it and never do it again!!!!
But within two weeks of no sick and feeling like my old self, it's amazing how you forget about the sickness. So hang in there!
Always eat a biscuit the second you wake and wear the motion sick wristbands x

Yes @GGC77 it looks positive. Congratulations

Thanks @33muma, 12 or 17 weeks just seems like such a long way away! This is actually my 3rd pregnancy, I was so sick with the first and I can't remember how ill I was with the second but I know I was sick. I have ordered the sea bands this morning, hopefully will be here tomorrow! I'm just so tired and hungry and feeling/being sick is the worst. Thanks for your reply

@IToldYouThisBefore honestly the bands do take the edge off! I must have got through so many 'Nice' biscuits and breakfast bars!
Just take it week by week.
Maybe it's a girl! X

My nausea got better from about 11 weeks. I found mine was a lot worse on an empty stomach.. I had to eat crackers every two hours or so.
Obviously when you feel sick, eating is the last thing you want to do, but I found if I forced them down I felt better afterwards.
Wishing you all the best.

I definitely do need to eat more but it is really hard when everything you think of turns your stomach. Even the smell of the fridge is horrible!

I'm in the same boat (get it...like seasickness?! Anyone??) and it is really tough. Sea bands did help me but mostly I'd echo PP about small snacks. If I wake up in the night I have a rich tea biscuit or some cereal, which doesn't help with tiredness but I'd rather that than the constant nausea. Hang in there Smile

Just to add, if there's something a little bit sweet you still like to drink, then that could boost your blood sugar enough to make some food seem more palatable? For example I have cranberry juice topped up with water

Very good Grin
I will try juice too, thank you. Hope yours (and everyone else's) sickness stops soon too

Give in to eating anything that doesn’t make you feel more sick even if it’s unhealthy. Try and regularly snack if you can. Know that it will pass!
