Feeling down, unmotivated and tired

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and I'm happy that I have been blessed with this baby esp it's my first but I'm struggling, I feel so tired all the time, only eating plain food, watching TV most of the day, finding excuses not to go to work, I just want to curl up and stay there. Anyone else feel the same?

Defiantly. I have had 0 energy for weeks. My OH makes me 3 meals a day without him I don't know what I'd do. Live on takeaways and toast I think!!

Thank god for this thread. I feel exactly the same and am also 8 weeks. It's so exciting but so bloody exhausting?!

I'm at work today and feel so so tired. Appetite is also so strange because food I would normally eat is making me feel sick. Just want crumpets/ready salted crisps. I left work early on Tuesday so can't see how I'm going to be able to skive off again today. :(

I've had such a bad few days, struggling to get out of bed or of the sofa. Nearly 11 weeks and I really hope this is the peak I can't take much more of constantly feeling sick and no energy!

@cheekypanda I've been trying to do something else other than TV. I found doing a journal really helps and going for a short walk. Try these?

That's a good idea thanks will try a journey or reading maybe to take my mind of things. Are you able to WFH atm?

I feel like I was super lucky that we went into full lockdown when I was about 7-8 weeks as I just laid on the sofa under a blanket watching hours worth of Harry Potter. Things do get better. My iron was super low and I started to feel better at around 15 weeks once I was on supplements and the nausea went away

Things do get better!

I was the same, no energy and constant headaches daily for weeks, but around 12/13 weeks i started to feel normal again! Now 25 weeks and I get tired early evening but am much better in the day now :)

Yes. Second pregnancy. The first one was 6 years ago and I'd forgotten about this by the middle of the second trimester. But it's all coming back to me now!! I feel awful and so down and unmotivated. Thankfully I found myself on an old thread saying I felt a lot better at 12 weeks and totally better at 15. I'm 9 weeks now so possibly half-way through the worst?
