UC after pregnancy?

Hiya my due date is May 2021.i will be on universal credit after pregnancy due to the fact I won't have any childcare. Is anyone else on UC after baby has been born? At some point I will go back to work so it won't be permanent just when he is really tiny! Anyone else? And how much did you get if you don't mind sharing. Thanks

Hiya, I work out UC for people all day (CAB adviser) and it’s quite variable depending on your circumstances. I would check an online benefit calculator such as Turn2us or entitled to. Put in details as they will be after baby is born and it should give you a good idea. You also need to consider whether you will be entitled to any SMP or maternity allowance. If it’s still confusing, check the CAB website. You can do web chat or phone up if you need further help. I’m not pushing CAB, I just know how things need to be taken into account to do a proper calculation.

I also am pregnant with baby due in May so I have been looking at it all for myself!
