Is labour soon?

Hi everyone I bet use don't see many guys on here my girlfriend is currently 40+3, yesterday evening she started to become nauseous and threw up about an hour later and when she woke up in the morning she was getting strong period like pains but they didn't last long and quickly vanished. Could this be a sign that labour is close? I heard that the vomiting happens because your body is cleaning itself out ready for labour. Just want to see my son now

Sounds like it's starting, this phase can last a while so may not be imminent but certainly good sign.

Well hopefully he makes an appearance before sunday, she's getting induced then.

I woke up with strong periods pains bit then only lasted couple of hours, 10pm that evening my waters broke! So going on that I would say it sounds promising! I hope all goes well for her when the time does come 😊

I went to sleep on Sunday evening with period pains coming in waves. They’d faded by the morning but returned at lunch. DD2 born at 7:20pm on Monday.

Seems like things should be starting soon then, she's just fed up now. One minute she's crying then the next she is laughing. Hormones are very rampant at the moment haha

Oh that won't change! There powerful things those post partum hormones!

Update: she's in hospital now, on the induction ward, midwife is gonna try breaking her waters first to see if he can come out naturally. Shouldn't be too long and my son will be here
