Chorionic Bump found inside pregnancy sac help?

Hi All,

I had my scan yday 12 week dating one and they found a chorionic bump inside my pregnancy sac. I just wondered if anyone has had this before or know anyone that has?

I'd really appreciate any info anyone can provide or help with as I'm really worried now.

Tried to google but not enough info on it only evidence based stuff which isn't helping as it's not specific to Chorionic bump structure.

Thanks.

Hi @Mya2021. I had this discovered at an early scan, but the sonographer wasn't worried at all. I'm now 24 weeks and at my last scan (20 weeks) it had disappeared completely! From what I read, it isn't very common so it was difficult finding advice about it. Hopefully yours will vanish too. If the sonographer wasn't concerned that's a really good sign.

@Flatwhite32

Thank you so much for replying.

Yes I can't seem to find any threads on here about it and google really wasn't any help if anything panicked me more.

Thanks for your story it's really helped put my mind at ease. It just doesn't make sense what it is and the midwifes don't seem to be very clued you on it either.

My sonographer didn't know what it was she had to get another lady to confirm they said all they can advise is to wait till 20 weeks scan.

Today I got bad news again to add a call from hospital saying my blood work I did came back showing 1 in 8 chances baby could have Down syndrome. So that's another worry to add to my list.

Just seems so upsetting all of it now.

Thank you though for your story.

Oh gosh @Mya2021 sorry to read about your results. Have you tried contacting the charity ARC? Keeping everything crossed for you and your baby.

@Flatwhite32

Good morning.

Yes I was told about them but I personally don't want to contact them yet till I know the results of tests.

Choose a harmony test so will do that in the coming week hopefully when they give me a date. Dependant on the result will see what steps to take next. It's all a bit much right now Feb had a SMM (silent miscarriage) finally in June got pregnant again and then they found this Chorionic bump at 12 weeks and now the chances of DS. I am staying and remaining positive for now hopefully something will work in my favour and happiness will prevail soon.

Sorry to sound like such a downer feel like with me it's 1 after the other.! Hmm

How are you this morning?Smile

Keeping everything crossed for tour harmony results @Mya2021. You've been through such a lot, and I'm not surprised you're down. Be kind to yourself. X

@Flatwhite32

Thank you it's such a terrible waiting game can't even sleep or relax.

I ended up going for a CVS test instead of the harmony test so I find out Tuesday evening.

Till then I'm just gonna try not think about it for 3 Confuseddays now. Thank you though you have been very supportive. Especially as nobody knows yet in our families or close friends wise. We have kept it all very hush.
