Is this normal? I had cramping in my last pregnancy and it ended in miscarriage.

It can be. Everything is stretching and shifting. Shouldn’t be massively painful though. Like period pains is pretty normal.

Didn't want to read and run I had cramping for ages I'm now 24+3 Smile

I found it can be to an extent, I’ve had it in pregnancies and been ok but also has miscarriage. There’s no easy answer I’m afraid, time will tell. Best wishes Flowers

It's not super painful. Just really really mild. Although it feels the same as my last mc when I started bleeding. This time I've been on progesterone since 3dpo so I know that can suppress bleeding.

I had cramping around this time in my pregnancy too (at 5-6 weeks - 20 weeks now). Tested around the same time - I'd waited because I had convinced myself my period was on its way because I had proper uh-oh-period-is-coming type cramps. I had it on and off throughout the first trimester and by the sounds of it from talking to my midwife it's pretty normal. As long as it's not accompanied by bleeding I would say it's nothing to worry about, but I can totally understand given your history that you'd be worried. Wishing you all the best x

BlackbirdFirst · 23/09/2020 14:23

I had it about 5 weeks and was convinced it was miscarriage. Bit of spotting too. Everything was fine I think it was implantation.

This was my experience too. I was also on progesterone.

Good luck

That's reassuring @Phoenix21. I'm extra worried as I'm on progesterone that I won't bleed. I have a scan at EPU booked on Friday at 3:30 so we'll see what they say.

In my previous sad experience progesterone won’t necessarily stop the bleeding.

I bled quite a bit on progesterone with my successful pregnancy.

All of my pregnancies were IVF so I was on a cocktail of meds and still bled.

bloomety · 23/09/2020 14:47

Ok well maybe it's a good sign I'm not bleeding. I started cyclogest when I started bleeding in my last pregnancy and it didn't stop the bleeding.

I've had cramping basically since I implanted. Some days it worse and feels like AF cramps. I spoke to my GP and he said its completely normal and not too worry. I'm 5+1 x

Well i has a scan this morning at 5+5. There was a yolk sac but no fetal pole. I've to go back in 2 weeks.

Good luck @bloomety. I think fetal pole is usually not visible until 6 +? So not necessarily a bad sign. I'm 4-5 weeks and having minor cramps. It's basically my only symptom!
