Baby Movement

Hey :)

So I am almost 29 weeks pregnant now and I feel baby move a lot but I never see it on the outside if that makes sense? Both my sister in law and a girl at work who are 29 weeks too say they can see their belly moving and going up and down all the time.

I do have an anterior placenta but I didn't think it would stop me seeing it so much? I am just a bit worried I should be seeing the movement now. I wasn't large or anything to begin with, I was a size 8-10 before so I don't know. I really want to see him moving!

When did everyone else start seeing their belly moving?

It depends what position the babies in. I’m 22 weeks, had 2 days last week where I could see tummy movements but beans moved now and I can still feel it but not as strong, I think babies just turned over

Thank you Oneandabean, maybe it is just his position. When I feel his movements they do feel really deep inside if that makes sense?!

Every woman's body is different. Try not to compare yourself to them.

I have an anterior placenta and movements were always felt deep inside. Only just started to see them more outside after 32 weeks. I'm coming up 35 now and my belly moves all the time Grin

As long as you're still feeling them, that's ok. I'll pop this link below.

I'm 30weeks now and my belly only moves on the right.. I only ever feel movement on the right ad well with the odd feeling deep inside... I think thats because I have a left sided placenta...

Gabriella93 · 23/09/2020 17:14

AlviesMam - that makes me feel much better! I am not too worried because I do feel him a lot but I was a bit jealous when everyone said they could see their babies moving about! :(

@Gabriella93 I worried like you too but movement is movement whether it's deep our outside. Especially with an anterior placenta it will take that little bit longer to see baby moving outside stomach xxx

Margo34 · 24/09/2020 23:12

I could see it 21w, husband could see it move clearly from a distance too from 22w.

PivotPivott · 24/09/2020 23:15

As long as you feel normal movements and regular movements try not to focus on what other people say.
I could see them outside by this point but you will see them. Wait until they've got no room 🥴😂

I’m 33 weeks with an anterior placenta. I felt him love from around 22 weeks, but only saw my belly loving from around 31 weeks so as long as you feel baby moving, I wouldn’t worry!

Gabriella93 · 26/09/2020 18:10

Thank you everyone! I finally saw my belly move today as well! Think he's getting a bit more squashed in there now haha xx

I'm 39 weeks with an anterior placenta and have only been able to see movement on the outside since about 34 weeks!

Motherof7cubs · 16/04/2021 20:56

18+weeks pregnant still haven’t felt baby movement but did hear beat which she had a hard time finding seem like baby was hiding under something anyone went through this it’s different then my other 7 pregnancies

Chelyanne · 16/04/2021 21:02

I have an anterior placenta too. I first saw kicks on the outside on Sunday at 21+5 which is when dh 1st felt them too. I only see them on the left side of bump so presume her placenta is over to the right hand side as I can't feel anything there either.
