I've never had one baby, as the twins were first, we have four now, when ds2 was born we had 4 kids 3 and under, good thing I was quite young really. Benefits are that they have all grown up together (and fought together) and all gone off to school remarkably quickly (although that could be seen as a negative too).

LTH I know how you feel

SpookyDooooo · 09/10/2007 17:57

Quads i take my hat of to you it must have been hard work

LTH i always said i would only ever have 2 i love having the kids but do find it hard & thats with 2 if we did have another it won't be until dd starts school, i think i would prefer to be home with a baby on my own in the day, of course there is the school holidays etc but as long as i have a break somwwhere i could do it.

Eeek i should not even be talking about more babies, giving birth scares me to death & going back to up all night scares me too...

LTH go with the flow if you think another will fit in go for it, big families are great i am 1 of 4 & i love jhaving sisters & a brother..

Sorry for hijack!

I bet you must be feeling really shocked! I was the same when I found I was expectin again, DS is just 9 months and I'm 22wks with twins. I just had to give myself time to get use to it, knew no matter wot you get through, and I didn't listen to alot of people's comments, thankfully I had a few people who were just really pleased instead of being just negative. Mind i did just get use to the idea of havin another baby to then find it was twins lol I know its going to be really hard but like people say, you get through somehow and I can't wait to see wot bond they have being so close in age and atleast its all out the way, I think I would've felt worse finding out when DS was just about to go to playskool. Take each day as it comes try not to think to much, cos you've got plenty of time and listen to people who are happy for you, not people who constantly say "however will you cope" It's an amazin thing to be pregnant so congrats, I hope your feelin clearer in your head soon and everything goes well Take care
