Shooting pains with spotting

Hi all,

Hoping you can help. I’ve been experiencing sharp shooting pains on and off during my pregnancy. I’m currently 9weeks pregnant with twins. I also had some light brownish spotting (small amount) that’s now gone.
Buts it really worrying me and worried I’ve had a mmc.
I’ve never really had nausea or painful boobs, so it’s hard to know if I’ve lost my systems.
Has anyone else had this?

Thank you

This may be implantation pain, I got it with my first pregnancy with a tiny bit of spotting; all was well , but scary. Don't torture yourself worrying , give your Early Pregnancy Unit/Midwife a ring and get checked out to give you peace of mind. X

Thank you. I’m going on this morning for a reassurance scan, although they have said it sounds all quite normal.
I’ve got such anxiety about it. We’ve been trying to fall pregnant for 1.5yrs and managed to fall pregnant after our 1st round of IVF. So I’m just so nervous because we are also having Mono twins, which is much higher risk.
Hoping all goes well today.
Thanks again

Good morning, hope all goes well at you scan today, I’m around the same stage has you I’m 10weeks tomorrow, and I have experience the same thing. I had a early scan at 7 1/2 weeks has I also conceived through ivf and they said everything looked ok and discharged me. I’m now under the care of my local hospital and I’m wondering if should contact them as I’m worried something is not right. I’ve also had shooting pains and all the symptoms seem to have totally disappeared. But from what I’ve read this can be totally normal.
I’m sorry I don’t have any advice, I just want to say I totally understand how you feel and how much worry it will be causing. And fingers crossed you’ll feel a lot better after your scan. Xxxx

Hi guys, I'm 10weeks pregnant, and experienced pink blood then it was brown. I went into A&E and they told me I had a concerning small gestational sack.. what's this supposed to mean?

TheDaydreamBelievers · 23/09/2020 11:54

Hi @haidri I'd recommend calling your local Early Pregnancy Unit and talking it through with them. They will be able to give you much better advice than A&E

haidri · 23/09/2020 12:36

@TheDaydreamBelievers the EPU said we've just got to wait and see what happens until my next scan (that's in 10 days!) feels like hell

Thanks everyone. Sadly our twins didn’t have a heartbeat this morning at our scan. Really hard to take but maybe for the best due to the nature of the MCMA difficulties.
Thanks for all replying and your support. I’m a believer that everything happens for a reason and next time we will have our rainbow baby xx

So sad for you. Such a high risk pregnancy as you say. Thinking of you.
