Scans in Scotland - can DH come??

So with these new announcements today, and I’ve read a few posts on here too, what is going on with scans? Can DH come with me or am I going to be told he’s not allowed in? Due my 12week in 4 weeks time

Yes, as it currently stands. He can come for a routine scan but not for any extras, I had to go last week for an extra 28 week one and I had to go by myself but there were partners there waiting to go in for routine scans. Maybe call your hospital and ask how they do it though, my husband had to wait outside until I was actually called into the scan room!

It’s definitely trust/hospital specific so you would need to check what the rules are at your hospital.

Mine is still not allowing partners for scans or antenatal appointments and only brought in postnatal ward visiting for birth partners this week.

Thanks ladies. I have my booking app with MW today and he is definitely not allowed to come with me. I’m so hoping he can come to scans though
