Hi all

I am 18 wks 4 days and have an anterior placenta, however i felt some movement from about end of wk 17 and now feeling movement below belly button, like someome flicking me gently from inside best way to describe it, can feel it more when I lay down, on friday eve I felt it from the outside I thought no, this is to early surely but it was definatley not wind! Completely different sensation never felt before, has this been the case for anyone else? Reason I ask is my friend said highly unlikely as its my first pregnancy, I know what I felt though.. :/ i had a mc a yr and half ago so this is my first successful pregnancy all very new to me I suffer with anxiety and if these are movements its helping me cope with the anxiety before 20 week scan so I have a little reassurance baby is doing ok

Thank you x

Definitely sounds like movements. 😁

I had movements from 16 weeks with first and 15 with second, it sounds very much like baby so I’d say it probably is. Don’t red too much into them being irregular at this stage there won’t be a pattern until around 28 weeks. Just enjoy the feeling

I felt movement from 17 weeks and also have an anterior placenta (am now 29 weeks).

The only thing for me that's noticeably different is that also I can see the movements now, I can't see or feel specific feet/hand etc, I think because of the extra padding. I can guess if it's a kick or punch, and it's a very active baby, God knows how it would feel without an anterior placenta!

I also have an anterior placenta. I started feeling proper regular movements from 20+4 weeks. I am 28 weeks now.

I had bubbles from 14 weeks and daily movements from about 16/17 weeks, my oh even felt movement from 18+4. I'm also a ftm so it is definitely possible! I've got a posterior placenta though so slightly different to you op.
