I ordered this club sandwich from this place called cinnamon village in my area I request a panini toasted then I realised a lot of people say mayo can't be warmed I'm not sure why but now I'm getting worried as I'm pregnant and don't want food poisoning

A toasted panni is just warmed through and the shop make the sandwich and warm it so they must be aware that if you overheat mayo it can go oily but it is perfectly safe to warm through mayo.

As a side note I believe there is a chicken strip recipe that calls for you to coat raw chicken breast strips in mayo and then into rice krispies! It is the oven baked. I did make that a few times when the children were little.

I have a recipe where is used mayo as part of the sauce along with apricot jam, mango chutney and wholegrain mustard. You cook within the over with chicken breast and it is perfectly safe to eat. It sounds disgusting, but honestly is absolutely delicious. I do use Helmans and normally light mayo so it is probably not fresh mayo.
