Losing weight while pregnant

Hi
I’m currently 11 weeks pregnant. Before ttc I was dieting to try and get to a healthy BMI, in the mean time I found out I was pregnant. I’m still classed as obese and spoke with 2 midwives and a doctor about me continuing to lose weight while pregnant. All 3 told me it was perfectly healthy to do so as long as I was eating a sensible amount and actually encouraged this to prevent any difficulties in later pregnancy. They recommended lots of fruit and Veg, brown wheat instead of white and exercising regularly.
Has anyone else lost excess weight during their pregnancy?

My best friend lost two stone while pregnant following what was essentially slimming world. You can definitely do this safely.

Good luck!

I’m 25 weeks now, I was also losing weight prior to falling pregnant.
I lost weight in the first trimester / part of second trimester and I’m only up to my pre-pregnancy weight now.
All scans so far, baby has been just fine!

I spoke to my midwife as was worried about my weight, the plan had been to lose weight whilst trying, not thinking I'd fall pregnant first month!
She recommended slimming world. They adapt it whilst you're pregnant :) x

I've lost 11lb so far since I found I was pregnant. Not through dieting, just plenty of dog walks and cutting out some rubbish. Feel so much better for it! I think as long as you don't go on any silly calorie restrictions (which I'm not suggesting you would) then you'll be fine :)
