Bleeding :(

I was 6 weeks yesterday. This morning I woke up with light bleeding, which has got more red throughout the day. It stops and starts. I've had slight twinges down there. It's not looking good.

I feel so sad, I thought this one was going to stick. I feel like now I'm just sitting waiting to lose it all. I don't think I can ever go through this again. I feel so hopeless :(

Has anyone got any positive stories of bleeding? Or should I just not get my hopes up :(

@Maybe3ornot initially yes, but there is a little old blood on the pantyliner.

I started bleeding at 8+4. Out of the blue, fresh pink blood when wipe with one dot on a pantry liner. It lasted about 48hours, gradually reducing. Went for a scan at EPU and baby was fine, heartbeat seen. This is my third baby and never had anything like this before but apparently it’s quite common. Always get checked though x

Thank you. I'm glad it was all okay for you.
I feel my bleeding is a little too severe to be normal at this point though :( the blood is red almost like the beginning of a period.
I will try and get checked tomorrow at the EPU. Xx

Test line has got slightly darker since Friday, hm.
Not sure if that means anything at this stage.

Are you passing any blood clots?

I know it's terrifying but try not to worry. I had the same happen to me at ) weeks along with what felt like really bad period cramps. Paid for a private scan and everything was fine. The same thing happened at 7 weeks with my first baby and he's now 11 years old!

Bleeding in early pregnancy is more common than you think, relax, and call the epu in the morning

@LaGallinaLocaX not yet no! The bleeding has stopped for now, it's been on and off all day though so not lettingn myself think it's done!
That is good to hear a positive story. I really hope it is something else..
I thought it was unusual and a bad sign to have both bleeding and period cramps in pregnancy. How many weeks were you when you went for your private scan may I ask?

Hey OP - while I can’t give you any real assurance it’ll be okay I just wanted to chip in with my own experience as I remember trawling these boards too when it happened to me. I started bleeding the day after my positive test and it didn’t stop for three or four days. If I hadn’t taken the test I’d have thought it was a light period. I rang the early pregnancy unit and they thought it might be a chemical pregnancy and all I could do was wait two weeks and test again. I felt very in limbo at the time but I’m 20 weeks tomorrow. Really hope you get some positive news too, and if not, sending hugs xx

And thank you for sharing your story Emily. I've stopped bleeding now so I hope that is a good sign! I'll update when I know more.
Due for a scan on Friday at EPU but don't think I can hold on until then!

It is so hard to say.

I've had 4 MC. The first one I had very light bleeding and a scan confirmed baby had died. The second one I miscarried naturally and had a lot of bleeding for a couple of weeks but no clots. My third I didn't bleed at all, we found out at a scan after seeing a heartbeat. My fourth was the same as the third.
My current pregnancy I bled more than I have ever bled in my life with huge clots the size of golf balls. I have never seen so much blood come out of a person before! This happened three times between 7 and 14 weeks. It was a heamatoma and I'm now almost 31weeks.
So as I say, impossible to say but I know the torture of waiting and the anxiety involved. I so hope all goes well on Friday for you

Now bleeding has stopped, that is a good sign I think.

@Frazzlerock bless you, 4 mc it's just not fair :( I'm so glad this pregnancy sounds promising though ❤️ will this be your first?
I guess it's still early so I have to wait and see. It's so never wracking.

@LaGallinaLocaX I'm okay thank you! I went for a private scan on Tuesday which went really well. I was surprised to see a lot of growth since last week and a good little heartbeat! I know I'm still not out of the woods yet by any means but it made me feel a lot better. She couldn't see any bleeding around the sac which is a good sign. Still not really sure what's causing the bleeding though, it's on and off but more brown now. She did say I may have a heart shaped uterus which I don't know if could be a factor? Fingers crossed it will all be okay...x

Hi everyone.

Just after some advise as I can’t seem to get proper advice from anywhere else.

I am around 10 weeks pregnant and for the past 1.5 weeks I’ve been getting bleeding first it was blowny, pink , brown ect now it’s pink again and sometimes it has small like tiny clots in.

I’ve had 2 scans and they can’t find any reason for the bleed like nothing….

I’ve been told to ring my gp so I can have a examination close up to see if it’s coming from my cervix. (Ive had laser treatment before) I’ve never had this before so I’m wondering what the heck is going on…

Has anyone experienced this or can offer some advise of what I should do.

I had bleeding from 6-15 weeks. It went from brown, pink to even red. I was checked out a few times but they could never find what was causing it. My little girl is now 12 weeks old sleeping in her next2me.
Good luck hope the rest of your pregnancy is less stressful

I’ve bled a lot throughout both pregnancies from beginning to end. It was always bright red blood. For me it was a cervical ectropion- harmless but annoying.

I had laser treatment back a few years ago on my cervix due to my smear being abnormal , the midwife doesn’t think it could be that but I don’t know ? It’s just to frustrating I never had this with my other two kids! If this carries on it’s going to be a long hog! Xx
