Anyone tested positive whilst pregnant?

Just wondering if there is anyone here that has tested positive for covid whilst pregnant? Particularly in the third trimester. Did it affect the pregnancy in an particular way?

My husband works for the ambulance service and I'm currently working from home at 29 weeks and am so paranoid he is going to bring something home.

Sister has also had recent contact with someone that tested positive.

I've always had anxiety but it's sky high since I got into the third trimester.

Interested to hear too. I think I had it back in February (pregnant at the time), but this was before you could get a test easily.
I only know a handful of people who know they’ve had it anyway, let alone anyone pregnant. And none of them were very ill, couple of them having antibodies with no symptoms.

Hi 👋🏻

I tested positive last week, currently 37 weeks. Been really ill for about 8 days but starting to recover now. I managed to catch it even though I was social distancing and staying home. The after aches are awful and I’ve been told not to worry about my unborn baby as “baby is safer inside that out” while being unwell.
I’ve been told to do 7 days isolation since the day i tested positive. It has been like hell but definitely not something to be extremely scared about if you do happen to catch it!

Hope this helps xx

I don’t know anyone personally but the midwife I spoke to said she had a few mothers in her care that had it and they were completely fine. Not sure if that makes you feel better or not.

Boris’ wife was quite pregnant when she got covid.

A friend of mine tested positive before her planned c-section. She only had very mild cold symptoms and other than delaying the c-section by a week it doesn’t seem to have had any impact.

Thanks everyone. This has made me feel a little better.

Am based in Wales and my two neighbouring counties have been put into local lockdown. Plus my husband is still on the ambulance sending 90% of his time in those counties so it's just made me a little more edgy lately.

Wish Covid would do one!

Yep wish it would do one!!!

So worrying how people aren't even social distancing now...when I go for walks nobody is keeping 1m distance even though I'm blatantly pregnant

Patience1990 · 20/09/2020 16:37

@New2020 tell me about it!

It doesn't help that I am measuring small so depending what I have on the fact that I'm pregnant isn't hugely obvious.

I’ve mentioned this on two separate posts now but just mentioning again here (sorry to those who might think I sound like a broken record). I tested on Friday, found out I was positive today. Only symptom I have is loss of smell and taste, hope it stays that way but worried I’ll deteriorate. And also worried for baby even though I know the risks aren’t anything to worry about at the moment. Have been told to isolate 10 days from first day of symptoms x

@FudgeFlies oh no. I hope things stay as they are for you and don't get any worse. Please keep us updated! Hope you're feeling better soon!
