Could I be pregnant already?

I had an early miscarriage 17th August ( only around 5 weeks), and bled for 3 days. On the 28th August I had an EPAU appointment, showing no sign that I had any pregnancy tissue remaining, my HCG levels were also pretty much back to 0.

On 31st husband and I DTD , just once (It could have been around my ovulation date). According to my apps and looking at things online, I should have been expecting my period 3 days ago.

I have been cramping for over a week, but no sign of AF. Yesterday evening and this morning I took pregnancy tests, both show lines.

I haven't spoken or told my husband yet, I don't want to 'let him down' again.

I was reading ye small print on the test information saying about causes of false positives, and it has got me worried - could I really be pregnant this soon or should I be worried about something sinister??

Sorry, such a long post. My stomach is turning over.

Its very possible you could be pregnant again, one way to see is if the lines get darker, but definitely speak to your doctor or the early pregnancy unit so they can do bloods to see if it is a new pregnancy

I'm so sorry for you loss. I hope this is the one for you. Yes, you could be pregnant that quickly. FX

@Eh1010 it is possible to be pregnant again this soon and fingers crossed for you you are and this one sticks!🤞

However, this was only just slightly over 4 weeks ago, if the lines are faint it could be slight hormone left from the pregnancy, had you had a negative test after that? It can also take a while for your period to return to normal after a MC, after mine in March my period took 6 weeks to come back.

Wishing you the best of luck, wait a couple of days and take another test to see if it gets darker! X

Hi everyone, Thanks for your reassurance and kind words.

@Lou98 at the EPU I had bloods taken which showed my hormone levels returning to normal. I have attached the test for reference.

I suppose I've just got myself panicked and worried, especially given its unexpected given we only DTD once - I guess that really is all it takes! I think I'll wait a little before referring to the maternity unit, just because it was so heartbreaking last time so early on. Ill speak to my husband though - I know he has just as much right to know.

Thanks again

@Eh1010 that does look like a strong positive so definitely a good sign!
For what it's worth, I found out I'm pregnant last Sunday and we only dtd once after my last period and before my positive (partner works away), I for sure thought I was out this month with only doing it the once and I'm now 5 and a half weeks pregnant so it definitely is possible!

I think you should definitely talk to your partner and try testing again in a week or so, then if it's still positive you should refer to midwife!

Best of luck🥰
