Early Scan

Hi, I was just looking to hear people's experiences of having an early scan.

I found out last week that I am pregnant after TTC for 2 years and a MC in March. I have booked an early reassurance scan for the 28th when I should be 6+6. I know that I may not see much, especially if I'm off with my weeks and I have this expectation going in but after the MC at the start of the year I really just want to try and see if everything's okay as soon as I can.

So I would just really like to hear people's experiences, whether you saw anything or not. If you did, what did you see etc!

Thanks😁

I had one at 6+2 and found out it was twins - was able to see the gestational sac, the foetal pole and yolk sac and a heartbeat for both x

I had one last Saturday at 6+3 and I could see yolk sac, and the heartbeat. So you should be able to see something at least.

I had one at 5+3 (thought I was 6+3) and saw a 2.5mm foetus with heartbeat, had another scan at 6+3 and it had grown to 7mm.

It hasn't stopped me worrying but I think an initial scan to confirm it's in the right place etc is a good idea

@ivfbeenbusy aw really? That must have been a shock, do twins run in your family? I would love twins but don't know what the likelihood would be! X

@Fruitloops34 that's amazing, congrats on your healthy baby!😁
I would be reassured for now to see that, keeping everything crossed this one goes well!

@ShalomToYouJackie that's amazing they were able to see that at 5+3! 🥰

Yeah I don't think it will completely stop me worrying either but a little reassurance that everything is going well so far I think will help a little x
