Weight gain at 9 weeks!

This time last year I weighed 12st 7lb
I am 5"10 so that's not as unhealthy as it sounds
I lost a stone over 6 months and maintained at 11st 7lb

I am 9 weeks pregnant - I was very sick between 6 and 7 weeks, threw up everything I ate. Now all of a sudden I can't stop eating, for example needing to get up at 3am to have a sandwich?! Every three hours I need to eat something and all I want to eat is sandwiches, pasta, sausage rolls and crisps. Every day I force feed myself a mango and a banana for some nutrients but otherwise it's all beige!

It's worth saying I have weaned off both nicotine (cigs and vape) and antidepressants over the last few weeks so I'm really not feeling great in myself and probably using food as a crutch.

I also just started a new job last week = more stress.

My point (sorry for taking so long to get there) is that I've already put on 3lb and I am only 9 weeks in... is this normal? should I be alarmed? How can I stop wanting all this junk food? Am I going to get absolutely huge and never lose the weight?

Feeling a bit tearful and worried

First trimester is weird - you think you should be nourishing your body but the baby just makes you want to eat either nothing or an entire 24 bag multi pack of crisps! I wouldn't worry too much, 3lb is only a small amount and tbh you're going to put more on whether you eat a perfect diet or not. I found the hunger lessens and normal eating resumes as you go into the second trimester with both of my pregnancies. I just try to make healthy choices where I can and keep active.
