Alternative Grandad names

My dad is really not keen on being called the traditional names like Grandad, grandpa, gramps, Grampy etc. (Doesn't want to accept the fact he's officially old hahaha!) He has suggested alternative names such as 'Gaga' 'Captain' and 'Chief' which I think are ridiculous for obvious reasons, I think he's joking a bit with the last two 😂

Does anyone have suggestions for modern alternative names that won't make him feel old?

Pops?

We use Papa plus first name

DS has grandad on my side and Papi (shirt for grandpa) on OH side. Papi is really easy for little ones to say as well and as one of his first words

we have a pops and a grandad just saves the confusion too lol

Lol my mil has jokingly (I think?) said she wants to be "auntie" because she doesn't feel old enough to be a grandma

My Dad is officially Grandad, but my child decided at an early age Gaga would be his name and it has stuck, maybe go with the flow, have a 'Grandad/Grampa' and then go with what your child decides later

P.S I love Captain or Chief 🤣

My nephew decided Gan-Gan would be his name for my dad, and it's stuck.
