Was nub theory correct for you?

Sent our 12 week ultrasound scan to a few friends who asked to see it and two have used nub theory to predict it's a boy. A little annoyed the more I think about it because I'm not finding out the gender and wanted a surprise but one friend keeps saying yes definitely boy I'm telling you it's a boy, after telling her again I don't want to find out. Just wonder if it's pointless waiting for a surprise at birth when I feel like I've already been told anyway.

From what I’ve researched none of the theories are accurate and they are all just a bit of fun. Theres a 50/50 chance either way but no way of knowing for sure using any of the theories

Was right for me both times
Boy and a girl and they were very different

oohmama · 17/09/2020 19:03

But to be fair it could have just been a coincidence
And everyone has different opinions so what one person sees can be different from the next person

Just try to ignore your friend and enjoy the surprise

It's 50/50

With my first I was right, still waiting to find out if this second one is in fact a boy. I think the nub theory can be accurate but it involves people actually knowing what the nub is and I've seen a lot of scan photos where people are like yup defo a boy/girl but you can't even see the nub in e photo so your friend may be right or in fact she thinks she can see it's a boy but is in fact looking at the wrong thing so really inthink your gender is still a surprise Grin

Mine was.. I was told boy on here from my 12 week scan pic, and have since had a private and nhs scan and both say boy..

Kettlingur · 17/09/2020 21:15

Right for me both times but hey it's 50/50

ohdearymemumof3 · 18/09/2020 07:19

I sent my scan to " the nubologists " search them on Google it cost £5 but me, my SIL and my friend all sent them our scans and they got all of ours right!!

Yesterdayforgotten · 18/09/2020 07:21

Its 50/50 accuracy not 90 or what ever they tell you. They take a guess like anybody would and this is why they refund if they're wrong.

ohdearymemumof3 · 19/09/2020 11:38

@Yesterdayforgotten just saying they didn't get ours wrong or the people I know!

Pushingnic · 19/09/2020 13:01

Sent mine off to the nub theory website you pay for and they got it wrong!!
