Baby dropped below 10th centile

I'm currently 37+4 with ds2. I had a growth scan in mid August and baby was sitting on the 10th centile. Had another growth scan today and now hes dropped below the 10th. Was sent for ctg and to speak to consultant. Ctg showed his movements were a bit lazy which I have noticed over the last week or so. Consultant I spoke to (he wasnt my normal) said sometimes if babies tail off at this stage they are better off out than in. I'm booked for a phone consultation on Friday with my own consultant to discuss options on induction. I'm also booked in next tuesday for doppler scan, ctg and sweep. However I'm extremely worried now and want him out asap. Hes estimated to weigh at 5.5lbs currently. Would a consultant take me serious if I pushed for induction sooner rather than later? I just think something must be going wrong for him to have now dropped below the 10th centile.

I would tell your consultant on Friday that you want an induction as soon as possible. I would feel the same as you and just want him out. He’s not even premature.
I’m not medically qualified and I’m sure they would have rushed you in if they were worried, But there’s no real risks to him coming out ASAP so I’d push for that

10th centile means that around 1 in 10 babies are his size or smaller, which isn't very few, really. That said, I think you should make your concerns and feelings known to your consultant. They will either assist you in seeking an induction or explain to you why it's better to wait for X date.

I'm back in being monitored today for reduced movements again. His pattern has definitely changed over the last week or so and it's taking me longer to get him to move now but when the movements start they are great. I'm just really worried and feel giving me regular monitoring isnt going to help much, I just dont want to risk him falling even lower on his curve now.
