BFP 3 weeks after MC?!

I had a traumatic miscarriage just over 3 weeks ago. I was told at an 8w scan that there was no heartbeat and the baby had stopped developing around 6w. I lost the baby naturally just over two weeks later. I had a massive haemorrhage and was rushed to hospital. After that my pg symptoms completely went away.

I did a pg test yesterday on the advice of EPU and it was positive. Faint but definitely there. I've since done two more tests and both are positive. Could I actually be pregnant? I would have had to have ovulated whilst still bleeding and I don't even know if that's possible!? I did get ewcm around two weeks ago but was still bleeding at the time.

I have a scan booked tomorrow but I doubt it will show anything so I have no idea if I'm pregnant again or if it's just the old hormones. Any advice please? This was my third miscarriage in 18 months and I literally can't go through it again so soon 😢

It might be that there's still something left behind from your MC, I was still getting positive tests a few weeks after my medical management of miscarriage and there was a tiny bit of placenta left and the lining was still very thick so I needed the surgical management.

If you had unprotected sex since then there is a chance you're pregnant. Are the tests getting darker? Hopefully a scan will show what's going on. Best of luck xx

Hi OP,

Sorry about your miscarriage, that must've been horrendous Thanks

When I had my miscarriage last winter I ovulated 10 days later and got pregnant again. I'm now sat feeding my 2 week old. There is truth in what they say about being super fertile after a loss, so I just wanted to say it can happen, and I hope it works out for you. Good luck and big hugs xx
