What is the age gap between your children? We’re thinking of trying again and dd1 is 12 months old.

20 months. Now adults and still good friends.

17 months. There is one school year between them. Worked well for us.

Although the childcare bill was high for a few years.

Not ideal but had fertility problems and last one was my unexpected little shock 🤣

Maybe3ornot · 16/09/2020 07:18

14 years, 11 years and 8 years

PlateTectonics · 16/09/2020 07:20

22 months between DC1 and DC2, 2 years between DC2 and DC3.

Lilice · 16/09/2020 10:21

24 months between dc1 and dc2, will be nearly 5 years between dc2 and dc3

Frazzlerock · 16/09/2020 10:30

4 years between DS1 and DS2 ( I wanted 2 years but PCOS decided differently)
11 years between DS2 and DC3 (due in Nov. Should have been 6 years if our first loss baby had survived)

Whatthedoodle · 16/09/2020 10:51

4 years between DC 1 & 2 and there will be 18 months between DC 2 and 3 when my third is born

hypochondriaceveywhere · 16/09/2020 10:54

14 months between eldest and middle, 3.5 years between middle and youngest.

26 months. Was hard at the start but it’s great now. I think 3 years is probably the best gap though to let your body recover and so you don’t have a newborn and a still clingy toddler wanting to be carried while you’re pregnant.

HarrietM87 · 16/09/2020 10:57

There will be 2 years 6 months between them when baby is born. Planned it this way and hope it works out! A lot of friends have done 20-26 months and I’m glad we waited the extra bit of time as it won’t make a difference to their closeness but has made a huge difference to DS’s independence.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 16/09/2020 10:57

DD1 will be 6y 8m when DD2 arrives. We TTC for over a year though. Not the age gap I would have wanted but DD is so excited and is quite independent now.

NoGinNotComingIn · 16/09/2020 11:02

18 months between my first and second and there will be 3.5 between second and third.

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 16/09/2020 11:07

3 years between 1 and 2
5 years between 2 and 3
(3 was a surprise addition)
