I've found out today I'm pregnant with our 3rd. Not planned but definitely wanted, but I'm now so terrified. More and more worries keep popping up in my head. I can't stop looking at the test because it was so unexpected.

I haven't told anyone except DH who is surprisingly calm and reassuring about it, and I'm the one freaking out!

There is absolutely no point to this post but I just needed to say it "out loud" somewhere!

Congratulations 👏 👏. I won't say don't stress or worry because when has that ever worked but I found that when your worried try to also think of one good thing that could happen too Grin

IToldYouThisBefore · 15/09/2020 15:48

Thank you, I will try to do that!

Congratulations @IToldYouThisBefore! :) how old are your other two DC? I completely get how you are feeling - I got my BFP today too, also only my DH who knows! This is our first pregnancy and we are shocked too, though very happy. I am feeling completely dazed. Happy twinning BFP day!

IToldYouThisBefore · 15/09/2020 16:02

Thanks! Congratulations to you too Flowers your first is such an exciting time (the others are too but the first is different). When are you due?

My other 2 are 5 & 8 - a boy and a girl so this next one will be the tie breaker! I don't have any symptoms yet either so it's a weird limbo of it not feeling real.

Thank you @IToldYouThisBefore Smile! I feel a bit silly but I'm not sure when I'm due. My last period was 15th of August, I'm two days late for my period and the line was so strong. What about you? What lovely ages, do you think they will be excited about their new sibling? Or too little to understand? Smile When do you plan to tell close people? My best friend has always told me the day she gets a bfp but I'm not wanting to do that, and she had a chemical pregnancy just days ago so I am really nervous to tell her at all, even if in a few weeks time

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 15/09/2020 16:25

Congratulations!

DD2, who is due any day now, was very much planned (TTC for over a year) and I was still shocked and started to stress after I got my BFP. Totally normal.

IToldYouThisBefore · 15/09/2020 17:03

@CharlieD2020 don't feel silly at all, but if you do want to know search 'pregnancy due date calculator' or something similar, there is one on the NHS website. It will only be a rough date, they might adjust it at your scan based on babies size. There are also apps you can download to show you how the baby grows which can be quite interesting, if that's your kind of thing.

I'm due the 21st of May, but my older 2 were both really late. With DC1 I was induced at 12 days over and DC2 I went in to labour the day I was supposed to be induced, so I'm not holding out much hope for a early or even on time baby!
They will be delighted to have a baby sibling, they both adore babies. They are the ones I'm really excited to tell but I want to wait until the scan to make sure everything is ok.

When will you tell people? I'm sure your friend will be delighted for you, even if she needs to take some time to herself first. I've seen some good advice on telling people on mumsnet before. Will you find out what you're having?

I’m due with DD2 any day now. Not on grandchildren yet. I’m only 26. Grin

IToldYouThisBefore · 15/09/2020 18:18

Oh god, sorry @BeingATwatItsABingThing I read that completely wrong Blush is it too soon to blame baby brain
Hope she makes an appearance soon!

@IToldYouThisBefore

Never too early to blame baby brain!

Mingasauros · 15/09/2020 18:25

Congratulations! I could have written this myself about 17 weeks ago - another unexpected but most welcome 3rd. Still haven't quite got my head around it (even though we have scan pictures and everything!) But with my eldest starting school and the 2 year old self potty training, I don't feel like I've had time to process it yet. Which I know is ridiculous!

Babamamasheep · 15/09/2020 18:34

Congratulations Flowers 3 is such a lovely number!

IToldYouThisBefore · 15/09/2020 18:40

Thank you! Congratulations to you too @Mingasauros. Have you told your DC yet?

Thanks @Babamamasheep, I'm excited to have 3 but have read too many threads on here about why not to have 3, which is making me nervous!

OP posts:
Babamamasheep · 15/09/2020 18:43

@IToldYouThisBefore I’m one of 3 and would love 3 of my own!

Mingasauros · 15/09/2020 18:51

@IToldYouThisBefore not yet - want the eldest to get settled at school first. One change at a time!

IToldYouThisBefore · 15/09/2020 20:38

Aah that's understandable @Mingasauros

That's lovely to hear @Babamamasheep
